Hey Everyone! This blog is for all of you to follow our adventures in Guatemala; we'll tell you about all the amazing experiences, post our best pictures and make sure to let you know that we're having a great time. So, you get to live vicariously through us without having to sleep in loud hostels, grapple with spiders and scorpions in the jungle or try to get by in Guatemala with little to no Spanish.
Our goal in our travels is to challenge our comfort level, learn about the lives and cultures of people in this part of the world, and to learn more about ourselves.

Biking Antigua

Today we went on an amazing..ly difficult bike ride around the city of Antigua. It was 30km, which Matt thought we could handle just fine, but we didn't account for the hot humid weather, and the fact that when we weren't going up a steep hill we were going down precarious and treacherous slopes with lots of loose rocks and thick sand! Not only did we find the ride challenging, but we had invited David (our new friend from Guatemala) and his girlfriend to join us. They ended up calling it quits halfway through and got a pickup truck to pick them up!! They told us to call them when we're back in Antigua...but that next time we'll just go for dinner;)
